Beautiful which consists of 24 groups.
Education is at the core of all we do. The mission of all KAB communities is to create changes in behavior
toward the proper disposal of solid waste. C.L.E.A.N. Inc. devotes 100% of its efforts to educational and informative
programs and activities with this mission in mind.
FUNDING: C.L.E.A.N., Inc. is a broad-based program receiving both city and county funding for operation
of the recycling center and administering C.L.E.A.N., Inc. non-profit programs.
PARTNERING: C.L.E.A.N., Inc. is not a self-contained, self-serving group, but partners with civic,
government, and academic organizations to reach the goal of a litter-free community.
WHAT WE DO:
- Operate the recycling center. Collect, sort, and market the materials with 2 part-time employees.
- Provide education and awareness which focuses on litter prevention and proper disposal of solid waste, with
beautification to complement those efforts.
- Reach 5 categories of the population through our efforts: Business, Schools, Government, Media, and General
Public.
WE DO NOT:
- Intercede in the responsibilities of other groups such as Industrial Development, Chamber of Commerce, or
Main Street except to partner in particular projects where littering or waste management is the issue.
- Enforce any littering or illegal dumping laws. We extend litter awareness and encourage the general population
to report offenders.
The Recycling Center is located next to the Lincoln County Museum at the corner of Mulberry and South Main. We
collect white (office) paper, newsprint, magazines, cardboard, plastic bottles/jugs, and aluminum cans. We also
accept printer cartridges and cell phones for recycling.
