The Church of St. Mary Magdalene has a tradition of a strong, participative Christian education program. The Christian Education Coordinator oversees the church school by developing curriculum, recruiting teachers, maintaining equipment and planning special events.

Four Christian education classes are offered at St. Mary Magdalene, beginning at 9:15 a.m. and continuing until 10:15 a.m. each Sunday from September through May:

The Adult class is the most popular. Topics include Bible study and lectionary series.

A one-room Sunday School is offered for pre-school through sixth grade. It emphasizes Bible stories and involves the students by encouraging them in artistic endeavors. This class also stages the annual Christmas pageant and participates in Christmas caroling.

A "Family Service" is held at 9:00 a.m. This is a special service adapted especially for children and their families. Early grade school children and their families participate in different aspects of the service.

St. Mary Magdalene has initiated a structured teaching program for the nursery during the first half of the service. During the second half, the children are encouraged to rejoin the congregation as valuable members of the church family.
